Why we’re trying this again

We love hearing from you, and we don’t want to fill your inbox to do it. People who are all-in on something that matters, and who use MakeTimeFlow to get there, carry a lot of hard-won wisdom. How might we, and you, share it without the noise and attention-grabbing of most social media?

I (Narath) like Discourse a lot. It’s built for civilized discussion, where trust is part of the design and asynchronous is the default: everyone checks in when it’s right for them, and the community still moves forward.

So we started our Discourse community back in 2022, and few people came. (To those who did: thank you, you are stars!) Several of you told me why. The biggest reason was another login. Others weren’t familiar with forums, and didn’t want one more source of email, or one more place to feel behind.

This update fixes the login. We’ll keep working on the rest.

One login

Your MakeTimeFlow account is now your community account. Click Community in the sidebar, just above Help, and the forum opens already signed in. In the desktop app it opens in your browser, signed in there too. There’s no password to create and nothing to set up.

If you had a forum account before under the same email, it’s linked the first time you come in, with your username and posts intact. On your phone, go to community.maketimeflow.com and tap Log In; it signs you in through MakeTimeFlow.

Everyone keeps a seat

The community is open to every member, whatever your plan. If your trial or subscription has ended, you can still come in, read, and post. Anyone can read without an account at all.

Bring a question you’ve been sitting on, tell us what isn’t working, or share how you run your week.

Start here

There’s already a thread waiting: tell us what you think of your Amulet. If the forum isn’t signed in yet, tap Log In and you’ll land back on the thread.

What the forum emails you

Since email was one of the things that kept people away, here is exactly what the forum sends. It emails you when someone replies to you or mentions you while you’re away, and whenever someone sends you a personal message. If you haven’t visited in a week, it sends a summary of popular topics since your last visit, and it stops after six months away.

Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can change any of it from your picture in the top right of the forum → Preferences → Emails.

What’s next

This is the first step. Next, every member will have a community account from the start, so our updates arrive as posts you can answer, and cohorts and programs get private spaces of their own. After that, you’ll be able to ask the community from inside MakeTimeFlow, right where the question comes up.

Everything about how the community works, including signing out, is on the Community page.
